Best Hospital Award at Natural Health Readers' Choice Awards 2022
SELANGOR; Mar 08, 2023 – It was a grand moment for four Columbia Asia hospitals as each swept a Best Hospital award at the Natural Health Readers’ Choice Awards 2022 held at Atria Shopping Gallery on March 8, 2023. These awards are testaments of the excellent services provided by the hospitals. The four award-winning facilities are Columbia Asia Hospital – Iskandar Puteri (CAH-IP) for Best Hospital in Johor Bahru, Johor in the Paediatric category, Columbia Asia Hospital – Klang (CAH-K) for Best Hospital in Klang, Selangor, Columbia Asia Hospital – Bintulu (CAH-B) for Best Hospital in Bintulu, Sarawak and Columbia Asia Hospital – Seremban (CAH-S) for Best Hospital in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. This is the third year that the hospital group has won such awards under the Ace Premier magazine group.
Best Hospital (Paediatric category) in Johor
The General Manager (GM) of CAH-IP located at Taman Kesihatan Afiat in Johor, Dr Ding Eng Li, is honoured that the hospital has been acknowledged for its paediatric services that specializes in providing treatments and medical care to newborns, infants, children and adolescents. The services range from vaccinations and common treatments of childhood infections, to more specific areas of pediatric care such as pediatric surgery and pediatric dentistry. “We do our level best to care for our little patients,” says Dr Ding. “The doctors here and our nursing teams are very experienced and always ready to serve the Johor community.”.
Best Hospital in Klang, Selangor
The GM of CAH-K, Miss Wong Wai Mun, also shares her comments on the recent win. “We are honoured to be acknowledged by Natural Health. Since we launched in 2017, we have always lived up to our tagline relating to our patients which is Right Here For You. Being there for your patients is a vital trait for any healthcare facility, because our work is all about our patients,” she shares.
The multi-disciplinary hospital in Mutiara Bukit Raja Off Jalan Meru is a hospital that serves as the main healthcare provider for residents in and around Setia Alam, Bukit Raja, Bandar Baru Klang, Kapar and Pekan Meru. With modern facilities, experienced doctors and highly trained staff, the hospital provides specialised services that includes Cardiology, Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT), Pediatrics, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Neurology, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics & Gynecology. Last year it launched the first dialysis center in the Columbia Asia group, thus making its quality healthcare services accessible and closer to patients’ homes.
Best Hospital in Bintulu, Sarawak
At CAH-B, health screenings are very much encouraged in order to detect diseases early. Bintulu’s community comprise largely of workers from oil and gas companies hence it offers a wide range of medical assessments and occupational health services such as audiometry, onsite urine drug test, lung test, seafarers medical check-up, pre-employment health screenings and occupational health screenings including heavy metal check-up program, Fitness to Work medical check-up and medical surveillance program.
The hospital GM, Encik Hazlim Sham Ibrahim says, “I believe we won this award due to the commitment and efforts from our doctors, nurses, and all our staff to ensure the services delivered to our patients are effective and efficient. After all, happy employees make happier patients.”
Best Hospital in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan
As for CAH-S, it is the first multi-disciplinary hospital in the Columbia Asia group. It has come a long way to where it is today; an award-winning healthcare facility, equipped with modern medical facilities such as a Cardiac Catheterization Lab and Cardiac MRI. The hospital also covers sub-specialties such as Maternal Fetal Medicine and Advanced Musculoskeletal Trauma. Its comprehensive services include Cardiology, Dermatology, Gastrology, Hematology, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Maxillofacial Surgery, Neurology, Nephrology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Urology, Vascular Surgery and Vitreo-Retinal.
Receiving the awards for respective hospitals during the event were Regional Marketing Manager, Miss Gwen Yap, CAH-K Marketing Manager, Miss Lorraine Yap, CAH-B Marketing Assistant, Janie Anak Tuan and Columbia Asia Management Office Marketing Manager, Sakinah Aljunid. Natural Health editor, Sharmini Hrikerisnan presented the awards to the hospital representatives.
